NBA Ticket Information
The NBA is without a doubt one of the most popular professional sports leagues around. With the quality of play, the NBA is home to the best basketball in the world. The NBA also offers a lower average ticket price than other major sports and has the added benefit of all the games being indoors. The National Basketball Association was founded in 1946 in New York City.
The NBA has been at the forefront of providing an entertaining experience for over 50 years. NBA games are known for their pageantry and halftime contests to keep the fans engaged. Throughout time the NBA has had many ups and downs like the other sports leagues but basketball remains one of the most popular sports for kids to play. As those kids grow up watching and playing basketball they easily convert to NBA fans.
Currently, the NBA is dominated by the free-agent market and the most coveted free agent is Lebron James. He has made championship teams out of the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and most recently the Los Angeles Lakers. Other current NBA superstars include Damian Lillard (Trail Blazers), Joel Embiid (76ers), Jimmy Butler (Heat), Luka Doncic (Mavericks), Nikola Jokic (Nuggets), Anthony Davis (Lakers), Kevin Durant (Nets), Stephen Curry (Warriors). James Harden (Rockets), Kawhi Leonard (Clippers), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks), and of course LeBron James (Lakers). This could possibly be the golden age of NBA talent. Even though every generation says their time was the best this group is so good that it could be the best.
Other great recent eras of the NBA included the 80's which was led by Magic Johnson (Lakers) and Larry Bird (Celtics) was the classic east coast vs west coast showtime vs the gritty Celtics defense. Overall the '80s provided a great NBA experience and this was well before free agency so players were only traded or cut and they stayed together. The thing that makes this decade unique compared to the modern era is the lack of free agency.
The 90's evokes an argument that will not stop and will never be settled. This was the reign of the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan led by Phil Jackson. The Bulls put an end to the domination of the Lakers but first had to work through the Bad Boys of Detroit in the Pistons. The Bulls changed many of the pieces around Michael Jordan except Scotty Pippen. Thus the debate of Jordan vs Lebron was born in the 2010's. They are both incredible players no doubt about it and they made sure the league stayed interesting.
The 2000s were defined by the "Black Mamba" Kobe Bryant (Lakers), Shaquille Oneil (Lakers/Heat), Allen Iverson (76ers), Kevin Garnett (Timberwolves), Dwayne Wade (Heat), Lebron James (Heat), and Tim Duncan (Spurs). Once again head coach Phil Jackson just happened to pick another great team to lead. The Zen master Phil Jackson without debate cemented his role as one of the best NBA coaches of all time.
Through the many different phases of the NBA, they have consistently provided a great live experience for fans. So grab the family and take them to an NBA game. You really cannot appreciate how big and athletic these guys really are. Courtside seats are the opportunity of a lifetime no matter who is playing. Endline seats behind the basket get you a really good look at what fast breaks and dunks are in the NBA. Midcourt seats give a great perspective for both ends of the floor. The upper deck is not a bad seat either because most of the NBA venues aren't huge and they all have giant TVs. Check back often with TicketsOnsale and find a great deal on NBA tickets.
