Ana Gabriel (December 10, 1955) is the stage name of Mexican singer and composer María Guadalupe Araujo Yong. She has been performing for a long time and has gotten a lot of praise for her musical styles, including Latin pop, Latin ballad, and Ranchera. She has been referred to as La Luna de América and La Diva de América. Saxophonist José Alfredo Jiménez's "Regalo A Dios" was her theatrical debut when she was six. 

Tijuana, Baja California, became her new home as she pursued a degree in accounting. "Compréndeme" was her debut single, recorded in 1977 when she was just 21. As of 2013, Gabriel's discography included fifteen compilations, three live, and twenty studio albums. Gabriel has three albums and seven songs that peaked at number one on Billboard Latin Pop Albums and Hot Latin Songs.

Bernard MacMahon's 2017 documentary The American Epic Sessions, in which Gabriel appeared, won many awards. Live recordings made by Gabriel using the restored original electrical sound recording equipment from the 1920s are shown in the film. With the help of a big band that included Omar Rodríguez-López and Van Dyke Parks, she sang "Mal Hombre" by Lydia Mendoza.
