Rebbeca Marie Gomez is a singer and songwriter, better known by her stage name Becky G. She is from Inglewood, California. In 2011, she found success by uploading videos of herself singing cover versions of some popular songs to the internet.

Gomez worked with Will.i.am., Cody Simpson, and Cher Lloyd on her first studio album. She debuted with the commercial hit "Becky from the Block" 2013 and received mostly good reviews. Her second single, released at the start of 2014, was the first to include Pitbull, and the song "Can't Get Enough" topped the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart in the United States.

Gomez's "Shower" was released in the same year and quickly rose to the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. After its release in October 2019, Gomez's first studio album, Mala Santa, reached position 85 on the US Billboard 200, 3 on the Top Latin Albums, and ten on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs charts.

Her May 2022 second studio album "Esquemas" debuted at 92 in the US, number five on the Top Latin Albums, and number one in the Latin Pop Albums. Its third song, "Mamiii", became her highest-charting US single.

She was presented with the Impact Award at the Billboard Women in Music event on March 1, 2023. She dropped the single "Arranca" on March 10, 2023, which featured Omega of the Dominican Republic. A collaboration with Mexican artist Peso Pluma, "Chanel," was released on March 30 as the lead song off her next regional Mexican album.
