David Adedeji Adeleke OON (November 21, 1992) is a songwriter, singer, and record producer from Nigeria who goes by the stage name Davido. Many people think he's one of the biggest Afrobeats performers of this century.

Growing up in Lagos, Nigeria, was a major influence on Davido. However, he was born in Atlanta, Georgia. Joining the band KB International was his musical debut. He became famous after releasing "Dami Duro" as the second single from his first studio album, Omo Baba Olowo (2012).

Davido released five songs in 2017, including "If" and "Fall," before renegotiating his contract with Sony for creative control difficulties in April. While "If" sparked conversations all around the globe on social media, "Fall" made history as the longest-charting Nigerian pop single on Billboard. "If," "Fall," and "Risky" were among the singles that preceded the November 2019 release of Davido's second studio album, A Good Time.

According to New African magazine, one of the 100 most influential Africans in 2019 was Davido. He was featured on Time magazine's Time 100 Next List in February 2021, and his third studio album, A Better Time, was published on November 13, 2020.

On March 31, 2023, Davido dropped his fourth studio album, Timeless. A leading advocate for human rights across Africa, he also serves as a cultural ambassador for his own country of Nigeria. Davido's 2023 singles, "Unavailable" and "Feel" and his album Timeless, were nominated for Grammy Awards at the 66th Annual Ceremony in November.
