Frederick Jamel Tipton(June 14, 1982) is an American rapper. While working at a Gary mall, he crossed up with Finger Roll, a local hip-hop producer Gibbs described as "the only guy with a studio." Gibbs continued his pursuit of rap stardom by joining Finger Roll's No Tamin Entertainment team. Tipton said on the December 8, 2022, episode of All The Smoke, co-hosted by Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, that his dad, Warren, is a singer for the Chi-Lites, having joined the group in 2018.

Along with his solo work, Gibbs has collaborated with producer The Alchemist on many releases. The Alchemist, rapper Currensy, and Gibbs worked together on their debut album, Fetti, which debuted in the fall of 2018. The following May 2020 saw the release of Alfredo, Gibbs, and The Alchemist's second joint album. Warner Records signed Gibbs in June 2020. 

Gibbs released three singles under the label in late 2020 and early 2021: "Big Boss Rabbit," "Gang Signs," and "4 Thangs," the latter two of which contain cameos by Big Sean and hip-hop producer Hit-Boy, respectively. After that, in September of 2022, Gibbs dropped Soul Sold Separately, his first Warner record and sixth solo effort overall. Gibbs, known for his musical endeavors, also briefly appeared in March 2022's first season of the Starz miniseries Power Book IV: Force. He played the character of Buddy, a drug dealer with cross eyes.
