Gloria de Los Angeles Trevino Ruiz (February 15, 1968) is a Mexican actress, dancer, television hostess, music video director, singer, and songwriter born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. To pass the time in 1985, Trevi joined the girl group Boquitas Pintadas. After their breakup in 1988, she collaborated with Sergio Andrade on her debut solo album, Qué Hago Aqu? (What Am I Doing Here? ), which was released in 1989 and featured the smash song "Dr. Psiquiatra" across Latin America. Many people referred to Trevi as "Mexico's Madonna."

Trevi's tenth studio album, De Pelicula, was released in 2013. The album's lead song, "No Querias Lastimarme" (translation: "You Didn't Want to Hurt Me"), was a crossover hit. The song topped the charts in various Latin American nations and peaked in the top ten on the Latin Billboard charts. Trevi started working on El Amor, her eleventh studio album, in 2015, and it was a labor of love. The concept album had both new and previously released songs by Trevi covering classic Latin American love ballads. 

For the album, Trevi created two personas: Mr. Trevi and Mrs. Gloria. "Como Yo Te Amo" and "Las Pequeas Cosas" were radio hits, while the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Trevi released an album with Mexican singer-songwriter Alejandra Guzmán in 2017 titled Versus. Singles "Cuando un Hombre te Enamora" and "Mas Buena" were released from the album.
