Krewella is an American electronic dance music group that is from Northbrook, Illinois. The band was formed in the year 2007 by sisters Jahan and Yasmine Yousaf (there is of Pakistani descent). Another founder was producer Kris Trindl. The three of them met at Glenbrook North High School. The music style of Krewella is described as EDM, dance-pop, dance-rock, progressive house, electro, trap music, drum and bass, and future bass. Kristopher Trindl left the band in 2014.

"Killin' It" was the first original song by Krewella, which was released in December 2011. In June 2012, the band released their EP Play Hard. "Alive" was the second single by Krewella, which peaked at number three on the chart of the US Dance/Mix Show Airplay. Some of the other discographies by the band are Get Wet (September 24, 2013) and Zer0 (January 31, 2020). Some of the extended plays by the group are Play Hard, Play Harder, Ammunition, and New World, Pt. 1.

Krewella also released some hit singles throughout its career such as "Live for the Night," "Party Monster," "Enjoy the Ride," "Somewhere to Run," "Broken Record," "Dead AF," "Bitch of the Year," "Runaway," "Good on You," "Greenlights," and a few more.
