Kygo (September 11, 1991), whose real name is Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, is a Norwegian DJ and record producer. He was born in Singapore and is known professionally as Kygo. His remix of Ed Sheeran's song "I See Fire," which was released in December 2013, and his single "Firestone," which was released in December 2014,  brought him considerable global exposure.

During the closing ceremony of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Kygo made history by being the first house music producer to perform at an Olympic Opening Ceremony. In March of 2018, Kygo was placed third on the Billboard Dance 100, a list of dance musicians published online by Billboard. There was a time when he was 32 on DJ Mag's list of the best 100 DJs in the world.

Kygo and Ava Max collaborated on a song titled "Whatever," released on January 19, 2024. The song features an interpolation of Shakira's "Whenever, Wherever." Three months later, on April 19, he released "For Life" with Zak Abel and Nile Rodgers. It is reported that "For Life" is an interpolation of "Lady (Hear Me Tonight)" by Modjo.
