Laufey Ln Jónsdóttir (April 23, 1999) is an Icelandic-Chinese musician who performs under the mononym Laufey. In the early 2020s, she rose to fame with an album called "Modern Jazz," a fusion of jazz-pop and bedroom pop.

Laufey was a finalist on Island Got Talent in 2014 and The Voice Iceland in 2015; at 15, she played as a cello soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Her first EP was published the same year. She received her degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston. "Everything I Know About Love," her debut record, was released in 2022 and became a hit in the US and Iceland.

Laufey's debut hit, "Street by Street," peaked at No. 1 on the Icelandic radio charts in 2020. In 2021, she released her debut extended play, Typical of Me. It has "Street by Street" along with six other tracks. Musicians like Willow Smith and Billie Eilish also noticed Laufey's album, Typical of Me.

Her performance of "I Wish You Love" received outstanding praise from Rolling Stone. The EP was ranked among American Songwriter's top records of 2021.

The next year, in 2023, she released her second studio album, Bewitched, to generally positive reviews. Her single "From the Start" had a mild hit in several countries, including Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Laufey has acknowledged that Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker, and Taylor Swift were some of her musical influences.
