Limp Bizkit hails from Jacksonville, Florida, and is a nu-metal band. Frontman Fred Durst, drummer John Otto, guitarist Wes Borland, DJ Lethal (turntablist), and bassist Sam Rivers make up the band. Durst's aggressive vocal delivery and Borland's musical explorations are the defining characteristics of the band's music. Limp Bizkit's live performances also feature Borland's extravagant visual look, encompassing face and body paint, masks, and costumes.

Limp Bizkit emerged in the late '90s as a prominent force in Jacksonville's underground music scene. After forming in 1994, the band released its self-titled first album, Three Dollar Bill, Y'all (1997), on Flip Records (distributed by Interscope). With 1999's Significant Other and 2000's Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, the band's second and third studio albums were commercial successes.

Their next album was released shortly after the band announced on August 25, 2021, that fresh songs were "leaked" quickly.

The band's latest single, "Dad Vibes," was released on September 30, 2021. Durst hinted on Instagram on October 19 that new music was on the way, naming the upcoming album "Goodbye" and "Turn It Up Bitch" among the 12 tracks. With an Instagram post dated October 28, 2021, Durst officially announced the October 31, 2021, release date of the band's sixth album, now called Still Sucks.
