Ministry is an American industrial band. The current lineup comprises Al Jourgensen, John Bechdel, Cesar Soto, Paul D'Amour, Roy Mayorga, and Monte Pittman. After kicking off 1982 with a show at Chicago's Misfits on New Year's Eve, Ministry embarked on a spring tour of the Northeast and Midwest, opening for the likes of Medium Medium, A Flock of Seagulls, Culture Club, and Depeche Mode. Meanwhile, by September 1982, 10,000 copies of the "I'm Falling / Cold Life" record had been sold, placing it at No. 45 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Disco chart.

Billboard published an expose on guitar player Sin Quirin on January 17, 2020, describing allegations of inappropriate behavior, such as sexual encounters with minors, during Quirin's early 2000s tour stops in San Antonio, Portland, and Tacoma. Quirin posted on Facebook in May of 2021 to say he was resigning from the Ministry. 

Ministry announced in early 2023 a tour with Gary Numan and Front Line Assembly that would run from April 20 to May 13 of that year. On both nights, the band covered Fad Gadget's "Ricky's Hand" with guest vocals from Numan. From their next album, Hopium for the Masses (due out on August 4, 2023), the band debuted a new song in April 2023 called "Goddamn White Trash" live.
