Wet Leg is a British indie rock band with the current lineup of Hester Chambers (lead guitar and backing vocals) and Rhian Teasdale (lead vocals and rhythm guitar). At Isle of Wight College, Teasdale and Chambers first connected. After being friends for eleven years, they formed the musical duo Wet Leg in 2019 and signed with Domino Recording Company. By playing a game and selecting various emoji combinations, they came up with the name Wet Leg, which stuck.

On June 15, 2021, they published "Chaise Longue," their debut song, which received media attention for amassing millions of streaming and video views. On September 28, 2021, their second single, "Wet Dream," was released. It's unusual for a new group to release two equally excellent songs, according to Variety. On October 30, 2021, they appeared on Later... with Jools Holland on BBC2. Wet Leg issued the double single "Too Late Now" and "Oh No" on the same day.
