Angola Rodeo, or the Angola Prison Rodeo, takes place at the Louisiana State Penitentiary. It is the longest-running prison rodeo in the United States. The Rodeo is held on one weekend in April and every Sunday in October. Thousands of visitors attend the prison complex during each occasion. Some prisoners use their family recipes to craft the concession stand food. Correctional officers also conduct all the financial transactions at the Angola Rodeo. There is also a biannual Arts and Crafts Festival that takes place as the major part of the prison rodeo.

In 1964, for the first time, the idea of the Rodeo began. It was a collaboration between prison employees and prisoners that began in 1965. Horses and cattle are both bred and raised at the prison. LSP opened the Rodeo in 1967 for outsiders. Jack Favor, a former rodeo star from Texas, also worked hard to establish the Rodeo to the current level.

Prison authorities also permitted Jack Favor to travel across the state to promote the event. Angola Rodeo is still operating, and it is known as one of the oldest prison rodeos in the United States.
