Formed in 2012 out of the ashes of Jersey Championship Wrestling (JCW), Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) is a professional wrestling promotion based in New Jersey, United States. Established in 1999 by Ricky Otazu, the promotion was sold to Danny Demanto and current owner Brett Lauderdale in 2015, when it was renamed under its present moniker. The company features shoot-style fights inspired by mixed martial arts alongside their more traditional hardcore and "death" matches.

While the company's roots are in New Jersey, GCW now travels the globe to host events in Japan, Mexico, and the rest of the United States. Backyard Wrestling, Bloodsport, Joey Janela's Spring Break, the Nick Gage Invitational, and the Tournament of Survival are just a few of the annual events. Independent wrestler Ricky Otazu, better known by his ring as Ricky O, established Jersey Championship Wrestling (JCW) in New Jersey in January 1999.

The first JCW show was held on January 29, 2000, in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. Towards the end of the year, JCW held the first-ever Jersey J-Cup, which featured a who's who of independent wrestling at the time. Until 2004, when JCW was sold to National Wrestling Superstars, they would continue to host the tournament (NWS).
