The Norfolk Tides are the Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and a Minor League Baseball team in the International League based in Norfolk, Virginia. The tides got their nautical names because the Chesapeake Bay runs through the city. In 1993, Harbor Park first opened its doors. It now hosts the team regularly. Prior venues for the Tides' games included Frank D. Lawrence Stadium from 1961 to 1969, High Rock Park in 1961 and 1962, and Met Park from its debut in 1970 until the conclusion of the 1992 campaign.

The current uniform colors of the Tides include green, black, orange, gray, and sea foam. Rip Tide and Triton is the current mascot of the team. Joe Gregory currently serves as the general manager. The team started competing in 1961 as a Class A South Atlantic League member named Portsmouth-Norfolk Tides.

The Tides were assigned to the Triple-A East, which became the International League in 2022. It was part of Major League Baseball's restructuring of Minor League Baseball in 2021. In its history, the team has claimed seven league titles. In 2023, they won the Triple-A championship and another International League title as a Baltimore Orioles affiliate.
