The American nonprofit organization Shen Yun Performing Arts produces and tours shows ranging from dance to symphonic music globally. The new religious movement known as Falun Gong runs it. With a total of almost 480 artists, Shen Yun is comprised of eight similarly significant performing arts organizations. Shen Yun has traveled to over 200 places in Asia, Europe, North America, and Oceania, performing for audiences of millions.

Based at the Dragon Springs property in Deerpark, New York, near the residence of the group's leader Li Hongzhi and his followers, Shen Yun was created in 2006 by Chinese expatriate Falun Gong adherents. Some have claimed that Shen Yun's performances spread anti-evolution and anti-theist ideologies and promoted sectarian teachings. 

Jing Xian and Junyi Tan wrote the score for Shen Yun. The Chinese Ministry of Culture presented the "National First-Class Performer" honors to flute Ningfang Chen, erhu Mei Xuan, and tenor Guan Guilin, all members of Shen Yun. Guan Guimin was a household name in China before he joined Shen Yun, thanks to his scores for over fifty films and TV series. Notable performers also include Xiaochun Qi, a soloist on the erhu.
