The ASU Gammage Auditorium is a multi-purpose performing arts center located at 1200 South Forest Avenue, Tempe, Arizona, U.S. It was built in 1964 on the desire of incumbent President of Arizona State University (ASU), Mr. Grady Gammage (Expired in 1959). For this reason, the venue still bears his name. He recruited his friend Frank Lloyd Wright to assist him in the designing of the auditorium being a famed architect. The auditorium is based on the opera house with a seating capacity of around 3,017 people at the showtime. The stage can be used for Broadway music, Organ Recitals, Lectures, Grand Opera, and Dramas. The auditorium is also wheelchair accessible for disabled ones along with an infrared system for about 100 people with hearing-impaired.

It is considered as one of the largest performing arts exhibitors among various university venues across the Globe with a Usonian architect style (by Frank Lloyd Wright). This auditorium has conducted the closing debate between George W. Bush and John Kerry on October 13, 2004, during the US Presidential Election. Also, this place was used for the funeral of 1964 Republican Presidential nominee and Arizona’s Senator, Barry Goldwater on June 3, 1998.

After the facility commenced in 1962, the auditorium remained closed for 25 months. It officially reopened on September 18, 1964, where it hosted The Philadelphia Orchestra, conducted by Eugene Ormandy. The hottest traveling Broadway shows are now consistently scheduled for the ASU Gammage Auditorium.
