Bank of America Stadium, serves as a home to the Carolina Panthers, an NFL team, is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The stadium is owned by Carolinas Stadium Corporation. The initiation of construction of the stadium began in 1993, and it took almost three years to get constructed. It came late due to the unavailability of enough funding to continue development; the process halted many times until the corporation took a new move to accumulate funds. The total costs of the stadium stand approx — $ 248 million. Though most of the funds came from the corporation itself, a major chunk was collected by selling personal seat licenses (PSLs). This was a new program, where a stadium gives fans the rights to purchase a ticket to a specific seat every year. The license of that seat can be resold to other fans, or given back to the stadium, getting back the deposits.

After the successful PSL program, various other stadiums took the program seriously, and many stadiums copied that.
Other than hosting football matches, the stadium is a home for Meineke Car Care Bowl. It is a college bowl game between the big east and Atlantic coast, annually hosted in the Bank of America Stadium. Other than hosting gigantic football matches, and practices, the stadium is also used for other sporting events and big concerts. This is rare though, panthers always need its stadium available for training, and the schedule is bottle tight.
