Mable House Amphitheatre was constructed as the result of former Governor Roy Barnes' goal. He wished to provide Mableton with a quality outdoor entertainment theatre. After his electtion, the Cobb Board of Commissioners were contacted by the Governor and asked to develop such a facility. The proposal was accepted, and construction began. A fundraising drive was organized by authorities to make the facility become a reality. For many years, the Mableton community used the historic Mable House grounds to enjoy a variety of activities. Some of the notable programs hosted at the venue are local concerts, arts festivals, and celebrations.
