Nationwide Arena is a multi-purpose arena which is located at 200 West Nationwide Boulevard. The construction of the arena began on May 26, 1998, costing a total amount of $269 million. The arena opened for the general public on September 9, 2000. Since it's opening, the venue has served as a home field to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League. The seating capacity of the venue is around 19,500 for Basketball, 20,000 for Concerts, and 18,500 for Ice hockey. The arena provides top facilities for its home team, among which is a small practice rink called OhioHealth IceHaus. This facility makes the venue one of the only four venues that has an on-site practice facility. Nationwide Arena is one of the two facilities in Columbia that hosts events during annual Arnold Classic (a sports fitness events hosted by the former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger). The venue is owned by the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority and operated by Columbus Arena Management. The architecture of the venue is designed by Heinlein Schrock Stearns and NBBJ.

The Nationwide arena hosted the first game played by the home team on October 7, 2000. The first and second-round games of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournaments in 2004, 2007, 2012, 2015, and 2019 were hosted by the arena. The 2007 NHL Entry Draft was also held by Nationwide Arena. Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions in 2016 was also hosted by the venue. The arena also hosted the 2015 National Hockey League All-Star Game. The venue has served host to many other events such as wrestling, mixed martial arts, conferences, and concerts.
