The Jacobs Pavilion, which was initially known as the Nautica Stage, later; Scene Pavilion, The Plain Dealer Pavilion, and Nautica Pavilion, is located at 2014 Sycamore Street, Cleveland, Ohio. The arena was opened in 1987 with a seating capacity of around 5,000 people at a time. The venue is owned by the Jacobs Entertainment while it is operated by Live Nation. In the year 2003, the Nautica Stage (former name to the Jacobs Pavilion when opened in 1987) was renamed to Scene Pavilion while the renovation of the venue took place later that included an addition of a canopy to the site.
The amphitheater itself is not known for its groundbreaking concerts of big-name stars that performed to mark this place as a historical one but, it had hosted some nostalgic performances by some talented performers of their time. These artists include Blondie, Ramones, and Tom Tom Club who teamed up and performed at the venue on July 14, 1990. Joe Walsh performed at the Jacobs Pavilion on July 20, 1991, where he reunited with James Gang bandmates after 20 years. He used to play with them later. Soundgarden had also performed at the arena on June 26, 1994. On July 23, 1998, Warped Tour 1998 performed here at the Jacobs Pavilion.
