Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center is an art performing venue which is located at 1310 Farm to Market 1788, Midland, Texas. The center opened on 12th August 2011, with a construction cost of around $81 million. It has a seating capacity of 1,800 (main concert hall) and 200 (recital hall). It is owned and operated by the University of Texas. Boora and Rhotenberry Wellen Architects designed the venue. The concert hall features acoustical curtains and telescopic riser seating.
The Performing Arts Center hosts a variety of events including concerts, Broadway shows, children's programs, ballet performances, comedy events, weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, music, and dance performances. Famous singers and rock bands have given their live performances at the venue including The Piano Guys, Rick Springfield, 2 Cellos and Sawyer Brown. Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld performed their stand up acts at Wagner Noel Arts Performing Center. The Nutcracker, Midland-Odessa Symphony, and Chorale concerts, Jack Hanna and Flashdance the Musical have brought in large crowds in the venue as well. The upcoming concerts of 2019 will be performed by Sail On band, Kathleen Madigan and Home free band. Movie The Hundred-Foot Journey will be shown in the venue on 30th September.
