Clowes Memorial Hall is one of the most premier performing arts facilities of the Midwest. The theater was inaugurated in 1963, in the memory of the late Dr. George Henry Alexander Clowes. This venue, officially knowns as "Clowes Memorial Hall of Butler University" is located at 4602 Sunset Avenue, in the heart of the Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana. Since its birth in 1963, this multi-purpose venue has hosted several significant concerts, musicals, orchestras, guest speakers and plays including the recording of Glam Nation Tour by Adam Lambert and welcomed many famous personalities such as Maya Angelou, Itzhak Perlman, Sir Elton John, Mikhail Baryshnikov and many more.

Clowes Memorial Hall is the former home to the Indianapolis Opera, the Butler Ballet, JCFA's Music at Butler as well as Broadway Across America – Indianapolis, Butler's Visiting Writers Series and Bands of America. With a seating capacity of 2,123 people, Clowes Memorial Hall hosts art exhibitions, theatre, family shows, live shows, concerts and educational shows for kids regularly.
