The Byham Theatre is a landmark building which is located at 101 Sixth Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a former vaudeville house that was originally built in 1903 with a seating capacity of 1,300. It was opened in 1904 on the night of Halloween. The original name to this venue was the Gayety Theater. It was renovated and reopened in the year 1990 by the current name, the Byham Theater. In the 1930s, it was renamed to The Fulton and became a full-time movie theater. It is under the ownership of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
The Night of the Living Dead was a classic horror movie that had its world premiere at this venue. On November 13, 2010, the first public appearance of the Game 7 tape held at this theatre and the event were hosted by Bob Costas. It was done for the 50th anniversary of Bill Mazeroski’s series-winning home run. Mazeroski was interviewed at the theater during the game show.
