Spread over 219,330 square-foot, The Chartway Arena is located in Norfolk, Virginia. It is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of Old Dominion University. Spectra Venue Management currently manages the day to day operations of the venue. Being a part of a village project, Formerly The Constant Center has a 75 acres (30 ha) development. It features restaurants, a shopping center, theatres, research labs offices, and residences with connections to the campus. It was designed by the Southfield, Michigan architecture firm Rossetti.

The Chartway Arena has a seating capacity of 7,319 seats, 862 upper club/priority seats, a scoreboard, and 16 luxury suites. For concerts, the arena has 9,520 seats and 8,639 seats for basketball. It has been used for high profile wrestling matches, home basketball games, concerts and lectures, and family-oriented events. In 2012, the Chartway Arena also hosted the first and second round of NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament. Chartway Arena also hosts career and job fairs too.

In 2015, the arena was upgraded with digital scoreboard and video systems throughout the stadium. Apart from that, it has been equipped with premiere interactive suite controls, more than 50 high-definition flat-screen televisions, impressive meeting room technology, state-of-the-art sound and lighting, and substantial back of house amenities.
