Peoria Civic Center is a convention center which is located at SW, Jefferson Street, Peoria, IL. It was opened to the public in February 1982. The site includes an arena, theatre, meeting rooms, and exhibit halls. The Peoria Civic Center has a seating capacity of 9,919 for hockey and football, 11,433 for basketball and 12,036 for concerts. The exhibit hall separately has a seating capacity of 7,265 people. It also consists of a ballroom that has a seating capacity of 6,500 people, and a theater with a seating capacity of 2,224 people. It underwent renovation in 1992.

It is owned by the City of Peoria and is operated by SMG. The architect Philip Johnson designed the Peoria Civic Center. The center hosts a variety of events such as concerts, circuses, trade shows, wrestling matches, and other events. The ballroom of Peoria Civic Center consists of flexible air walls.

Notable events and concerts held at the Peoria Center were the Home and Garden show that took place in the exhibit hall (the very first event to be held at the venue). Kenny Rogers performed the first concert held in the arena. The exhibit hall has hosted one of the largest chess tournaments in the world. It hosted the first CIT tournament also. The Missouri Valley Conference was also held in the arena. The theatre hosts concerts, ballets, orchestra concerts, Broadway shows, and other events explicitly.
