Selland Arena is a multi-purpose arena situated at 700 M Street, Fresco, California. It was officially opened for the general public on October 11, 1966, with a construction cost of $10 million. The venue is named after the former Fresno mayor Arthur L. Selland. The seating capacity of the venue is around 10,132. The Selland Arena serves home to the Fresno Monsters junior ice hockey team of the Western States Hockey League. It is owned by the City of Fresno and operated by SMG. The architecture of the venue is designed by Robert W. Stevens & Associates. The arena has hosted 32 home games. In November 2006, the venue underwent an additional $15 million renovation, which included the installation of message boards, a new video replay scoreboard, new seats, and a new ice-cooling system for hockey games.
