Freeman Coliseum is located at 3201 East Houston Street, San Antonio, Texas. It is a sports and concert venue with various seating capacities such as 9,800 (basketball), 9,500 (motorsports, rodeo, and professional bull riding), and 11,700 (concerts, boxing, and wrestling). The venue was opened to the general public on October 19, 1949, with a construction cost of $1.75 million. It is under the ownership of Bexar County.

The surface of the venue is a Chilled concrete one while the architecture of the whole Coliseum was designed by Phelps & Dewees & Simmons, Bartlett Cocke, and Robt. M. Ayres. The Coliseum has been hosting several events including concerts, trade shows, basketball, hockey, boxing, wrestling, circus, professional sports, and San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. The arena was said to be the largest indoor arena in San Antonio before the inauguration of HemisFair Arena. Various artists and performers have made their San Antonio debut at this place.

The arena was a former home to San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, San Antonio Rowels, Central Hockey League San Antonio Iguanas, and International Hockey League San Antonio Dragons.
