The Mayo Civic Center is a dual-venue convention center and event center located at 30 Civic Center Dr. SE, Rochester. The center was first opened to the public in 1938, as a gift by the late Drs. William and Charles H. Mayo to the city. The venue has been expanded and renovated many times. In 1972, significant modifications, including air conditioning systems to the theatre, in 1997, an expansion was completed, and in 2001, a new 25,200 square foot Exhibit Hall was added to the venue. Center also features Minnesota's largest ballroom with a seating capacity of around 7,200, which is used for concerts, basketball, and wrestling. The center is used for sporting events and performing arts, which has 3,000 seats. It also has an Exhibit Hall for consumer shows and a Presentation Hall theatre for the arts, which has 1,084 fixed seats. The Mayo Civic Center served home to the Rochester Mustangs ice hockey team and several other professional basketball franchises. The venue also has 23 meeting rooms varying in size.

The Mayo Civic Center has hosted some notable events, which include Blue Man Group, Disney Live, Elmo Live, and other events. The famous artists, such as Chris Young, Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town, KISS, Celtic Woman, and Disturbed, have also performed in the center. The arena annually hosts the NYWA Youth Wrestling State Championships, which is one of the biggest wrestling tournaments in the United States.
