Oregon State Beavers at Tulsa Golden Hurricane Football

Skelly Field Stadium is an outdoor football stadium located within the campus of the University of Tulsa at 312 East 8th Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. It has a seating capacity of around 30,000 people. It is home to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane Football Team. The stadium first opened to the general public on October 4, 1930, at a construction cost estimated to be $275,000. The University of Tulsa owns and operates the venue. Smith and Senter Architects designed the traditional architecture depicting the 1930s and the modern-day blend. The stadium needed several renovations and modifications due to its aged infrastructure; hence, the recent improvements were made in the year 2007.

The Skelly Field Stadium was named after William Skelly, founder of Skelly Oil. It is listed as the smallest stadium in the Conference USA. Skelly Field Stadium used to be the home to Tulsa Roughnecks of North American Soccer League from 1978 to 1984. The venue also hosted Union Public Schools vs. Jenks Public Schools football games. The highest crowd in the history of Skelly Field Stadium was around 47,350 people on September 26, 1987, in which Tulsa lost to Oklahoma. The Tulsa defeated Arkansas in the opening match of the stadium.
