Verizon Arena, previously named as the Alltel Arena, is a multi-purpose arena located in 1 Verizon Arena Way North Little Rock, Arkansas. Its ground was shattered on August 22, 1997, and opened to the general public on October 2, 1999. The arena has a seating capacity of 18,000 for Basketball, 17,000 for Hockey, and 16,000 for Arena Football. The venue is owned and operated by Pulaski County Multi-Purpose Civic Center Facilities Board. The architecture of the arena was designed by Civic Center Design Team, Burt Taggart and Associates, The Wilcox Group, Garver and Garver Engineering, and Rosser International firm with a construction cost of $80 million.

The Verizon Arena remained home ground for Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans and the Jack Stephens Center. Several other teams were consistent presences in the arena including; Arkansas- Little Rock Trojans from 1999-2005, Arkansas Riverblades from 1999-2003, Arkansas Twisters from 2000-2009, and Arkansas Diamonds in 2010.
A variety of events are hosted by the venue like concerts, rodeos, auto racing, professional wrestling, trade shows, and conventions.

The Verizon Arena was the residence of Southeastern Conference women’s basketball tournament in 2003, 2006, 2009 and the Sun Belt Conference men’s basketball tournament of 2000. Notable events held at the arena are American Idol Live Tour in2004, 2007 and 2009, the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions on October 5, 2016, and Fleetwood Mac on May 4, 2013.
