Vaught–Hemingway Stadium, formerly known as Hemingway Stadium, is an outdoor athletic stadium located at All-American & Hill Drive, University, Mississippi. It serves home to the University of Mississippi Rebels college football team. The facility opened to the general public on October 1, 1915, with a construction cost of around $96,000. It has a seating capacity of approximately 64,038 people. The stadium is owned and operated by the University of Mississippi. Since its opening, the stadium has gone through multiple renovations and expansions. It is the largest stadium in Mississippi State and one of the oldest stadiums in college football. The stadium is named after Judge William Hemingway and legendary Ole Miss coach Johnny Vaught. The stadium field was named in honor of Dr. Jerry Hollingsworth due to his generous support to Ole Miss Athletics.
Vaught–Hemingway Stadium is not only known for hosting the Ole Miss Rebels Football games but also hosts other events. The stadium achieved its highest attendance record of 66,176 people in 2016 in a match between Mississippi Rebels and Alabama. Vaught set a record of 190-61-12 as head football coach at the stadium and brought the Mississippi Rebels National Championships in 1959, 1960, and 1962. The Rebels' matchup with LSU gathered 62,552 fans in 2003 while the 2004 Tennessee game drew 62,028.
