The Fox Theatre is a concert hall that was also known as the West Coast Oakland. It is located at 1807 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, California, United States. The theatre was opened to the general public on October 27, 1928. It has a seating capacity of around 2,800 people at a time. The arena is owned by the City of Oakland and operated by Another Planet Entertainment. The architecture of the Fox Theatre was designed by Weeks and Day. In March 1929, William Fox bought the facility and renamed it to the Fox Theatre.

The theatre is home to the Oakland School for the Arts. After an extended closure of forty years approx, the Fox Theatre reopened in February 2009. It was ultimately a new beginning of this historic facility. On the day of theatre’s grand reopening, it featured the “Roaring Twenties” theme. The very first film that was featured at the theatre was Fox’s The Air Circus. The venue has also hosted an uncountable number of shows, school programs, and concerts. Some of the big names who have performed at this theatre are Animal Collective, Bob Dylan, Twenty One Pilots, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Paul Simon and so many others have played their part at the venue.
