The Delta Center is an indoor arena located at 301 S Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. The venue was opened on October 9, 1991, with a seating capacity of around 18,300 people overall and 7,000 people at Nu Skin Theatre. The architect of the arena was designed by the FFKR Architecture. The venue hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics as its home venue for short track speed skating and figure skating. It was referred to as the Salt Lake Ice Center.
The 1999 U.S. Figure Skating Championships were also hosted here. The Delta Center has also hosted the first and second-round basketball games in the year 2013, 2017, and 2019. It was home to West regional semifinals (“Sweet Sixteen”) and championship (“Elite Eight”) in the 2010 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. The arena hosted its first concert on October 24, 1991. Oingo Boingo became the first act to be played at the venue.
