MassMutual Center is a convention center complex and a multi-purpose arena located at 1277 Main Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, USA. Until 1997, MassMutual Center was operated and owned by The Springfield City itself along with some other management groups. However, after 1947, the ownership was shifted to the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA). It is operated by MGM Springfield. Previously, the venue was known as Springfield Civic Center, but the arena was renamed after entering into a naming agreement of 15 years in 2005. It has a seating capacity 8,318 for Center Stage, 7,331 for Basketball and 6,793 for Ice hockey.

The construction of the venue started on March 18, 1970, and on September 5, 1972, the Center was opened for the general public. MassMutual Center went through the renovation a couple of times. First renovation, which began in 2003, started by demolishing the nearby bank to increase the area of the venue. This renovation is remembered as a multi-million dollar technology upgrade to the arena. The architecture was designed by Catalano Architects Inc. MassMutual Center is home to two renowned Ice hockey teams named as Springfield Thunderbird and American International Yellow Jackets.

The venue serves host to different sports events, concerts, conferences and meetings. The Hartford Whalers of the National Hockey League was hosted by Mass Mutual Center. The 19th WWF In Your House was also played at this venue in 1997. American Hockey League franchise was also organized in this arena. The building hosted several NCAA Men's Division II Basketball Championships. The 16th edition of the World Wrestling Federation's Saturday Night's Main Event was also held at this arena.
