The Fab Four - The Ultimate Beatles Tribute

The Fox Tucson Theatre is part of the famous Fox venue chain located in downtown Tucson, Arizona. The theatre is owned by Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation and operated by the City Of Tucson. Some of the previous operators of the venue are Fox West Coast Theatres (1930-1970), National General Corporation (1970-1973), and Mann Theatres (1973-1974). The theatre has a seating capacity of 1,197. It is a movie palace venue with one screen. The venue opened for the public on April 11, 1930.

The Fox Tucson Theatre hosts a wide spectrum of events and concerts. This features a wide variety of performing talent ranging from rock acts to jazz, contemporary pop, and world music. The Fox was originally called "The Tower," and Nicholas Diamos built the venue for his Southern Arizona "Lyric Amusement" chain of theaters. The Fox Tucson Theatre's opening night is remembered as the biggest party the small community of Tucson had ever witnessed, with 3,000 or so people enjoying the first-ever show.

The Fox Tucson Theatre was closed on June 18, 1974, and after 25 years, the venue reopened on December 31, 2005, following a six-year, $13 million rehabilitation. The restoration of the theatre was funded by a unique partnership of public and private dollars. It is said to be the second historic theater in the country to utilize the New Markets Tax Credits and the Historic Preservation Tax Credits. Some of the restoration project's key personnel are Herb Stratford, John A Hill, City of Tucson, Arizona Mayor and Council, and B. C. McKinney.
