Lane Stadium, also known as Worsham Field, is a college football stadium located on 285 Beamer Way Blacksburg, Virginia. The stadium was initially built and opened to the general public on September 24, 1965, at a construction cost of $3.5 million. The stadium serves home to the Virginia Tech Hokies of the Atlantic Coast Conference. It is well-known as being one of the loudest stadiums that the fans bring,.One of the most defining and unique characteristics of a Virginia Tech game is the team’s entrance. Moments before the start of each game are accompanied by the playing of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.” In 2007, it was ranked #2 on ESPN.com's “Top 10 Scariest Places to Play”. Lane Stadium had the highest elevation of any Football Bowl Subdivision stadium in the eastern United States, at 2,057 feet above sea level. The total seating capacity of this stadium is 66,233 people, along with 1,200 club seats, 240 Luxury Seating, and 15 Suites. Lane Stadium has gone through numerous changes, renovations, and additions.

The first game and the first win at the Lane Stadium was played and achieved on October 2, 1965, played against Willam and Mary. The first television game against Florida State was hosted in the stadium on October 29, 1966. The venue is full of exciting features that are exhibited at random moments such as the team entry, pre-game session, in-game, scoring session, and a few more.
