Washington Huskies at Indiana Hoosiers Mens Basketball (Date TBD)

Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall is an arena on the campus of Indiana University located at 1001 East 17th Street Bloomington, Indiana. It was open to the general public on September 12, 1971, with the former name of Assembly Hall (1971 to 2016) and a construction cost of around $26.6 million. The hall serves as home to the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball and women's basketball teams. It has a seating capacity of about 17,222. The venue is under the ownership of Indiana University. Eggers & Higgins designed the architecture of the hall. It underwent several upgradations and renovations, including new systems for the audience (costing around $165 million), the addition of locker rooms, player rooms, video rooms, practice courts, training area, a strength development area, and a Legacy Court. Basketball sportscaster Gus Johnson called the Assembly Hall, "the Carnegie Hall of basketball." It hosts events like basketball, indoor games, wrestling championships, concerts, and much more.

Tournaments held at the arena include Midwest regional finals of the NCAA basketball tournament in 1981, Sub-regional NCAA basketball tournament games of 1977 and 1979, etc. Some well-known artists who performed here include Bob Hope and Petula Clark (on the opening event for Football Homecoming), The Doobie Brothers, The Electric Light Orchestra, The Smashing Pumpkins with The Fountains of Wayne, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and countless other performers.

Political individuals who visited the Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall include President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Bill Clinton.
