Legion Field is an outdoor stadium located at 400 Graymont Avenue West, Birmingham, Alabama. It served home to the Auburn University Tigers and University of Alabama Crimson Tide football programs. The venue was inaugurated on November 19, 1927, with a construction cost of around $439,000. It has a seating capacity of approximately 71,594 people. The stadium is under the ownership of the City of Birmingham and operated by the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Over the years, the venue has undergone several renovations in 1961, 1965, 2005 and 2015. David Oliver Whilldin designed the architecture of the stadium.

Legion Field hosted its first football game on October 4, 1969, between Alabama and Ole Miss. Alabama played its last game at the stadium on August 30, 2003, against the University of South Florida. It has also hosted four different bowl games in its history, including Dixie Bowl (1947–48), Hall of Fame Bowl (1977–1985), All-American Bowl (1986–1990), and Birmingham Bowl (2006–present). The annual Magic City Classic between Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University has also been played here since 1946. The Drum Corps International World Championships was hosted in the venue in 1979 and 1980. Popular artists who performed famous concerts at the stadium include The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Ruben Studdard, and U2.
