Memorial Gymnasium is a multi-purpose venue located in Nashville, Tennessee. The facility is often called Memorial or Memorial Gym. It broke ground in 1950 and was officially inaugurated for the public on December 6, 1952. The facility is under Vanderbilt University Board of Trust's ownership and is operated by Vanderbilt University. It has a current seating capacity of 14,316, higher than the 6,583 during its inception. The architecture of the building is done by Edward Durell Stone & Associates and Edwin A. Keeble Associates, Inc. The facility is situated on the western end of the Vanderbilt University campus, and it features a Hardwood surface. The venue serves as the home field to the Vanderbilt Commodores men's and women's basketball programs.

Memorial Gymnasium was dedicated to students and alumni who were killed in World War II. The venue is best known for the unusual design it has. The design of the facility promoted expansion, and it underwent many expansions since its opening. In 1984 and 1991, the facility served as the host to the SEC men's basketball tournament. It also hosted the "Battle of the Boulevard" rivalry game between Lipscomb and Belmont in the early 1990s.

Some of the other notable events hosted by the Memorial Gymnasium include the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament 12 times, and some more. The facility was also the Jeff Lacy versus Jermain Taylor WBC super-middleweight elimination site on November 15, 2008.
