New Hampshire Motor Speedway is an oval speedway that is located in Loudon, New Hampshire. The speedway broke ground on August 13, 1989, and it officially opened for the local public on June 5, 1990. The venue was formerly named New Hampshire International Speedway (1990–2007). It has a seating capacity of 76,000. The venue is under the ownership of Speedway Motorsports, Inc. and the same body operates it. The motor speedway has been hosting NASCAR racing annually since 1990. It also hosts the longest-running motorcycle race in North America, entitled the Loudon Classic. Often nicknamed "The Magic Mile," the speedway can be converted into a .6-mile (2.6 km) road course, including much of the oval.
New Hampshire Motor Speedway is said to be one of the eight major NASCAR tracks owned and operated by Speedway Motorsports. The speedway underwent many renovations and expansions, ending up being one of the largest speedways in New England. The speedway has hosted several major events, such as NASCAR Cup Series, Foxwoods Resort Casino 301, NASCAR Xfinity Series, ROXOR 200; NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, UNOH 175 (1996–2017); and some more. A few current events include NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour – Town Fair Tire 100; NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour – F.W. Webb 100; ARCA Menards Series East – Apple Barrel 125; and NASCAR Pinty's Series – Granite 100.
