The venue comprises two museums, art studios, two performance halls, lecture halls, and historical campus. The auditorium at the center has a seating capacity of 1,400, while the theater has 400. The building of the center is designed in Alden B. Dow's architecture. Some of the notable member groups of the Midland Center are MATRIX: MIDLAND, Midland County Historical Society, Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art, Midland Symphony Orchestra, Center Stage Choirs, and Center Stage Theatre.
The Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art, one of the major group members of the Midland Center for the Arts, is responsible for focusing on the science and visual arts departments.
