FirstOntario Centre is a multi-purpose arena located on the corner of in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It is a sports-based entertainment center with a seating capacity of 19000 people. The arena first opened in 1985. Previously it was known as Copps Coliseum. Over the years, the FirstOntario Centre has hosted many events. It was in 1985, the Hamilton Steelhawks of the Ontario Hockey League initiated play in the arena. It was also used as the main venue for the 1986 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Apart from that, it has hosted the 1990 Memorial Cup and several games in the 1991 Canada Cup.

On January 24, 1988, The first WWF Royal Rumble was held here. It also hosted the 1994 FIBA World Championship, along with SkyDome and Maple Leaf Gardens. In 1995, it hosted FIBA Americas Championship for Women. It was in 1996 that this centre becomes the home to the American Hockey League Hamilton Bulldogs. They defeated Hershey Beats and lift their first Calder Cup Championship in franchise history at home at this place.
