Meridian Hall, formerly the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, is a major theatrical concert hall which is located at 1 FrontStreet East Toronto, Ontario. The venue houses a very sophisticated acoustic system, which provides visitors with a sense of sound surrounding them. It was inaugurated on 1st October 1960 with a seating capacity of 3191 people. The venue was owned and operated by the city of Toronto government. Peter Dickinson designed the architecture of the theater.

Meridian Hall is an example of a mid-twentieth century Modern performing arts venue. It is four stories high and is broken up into three primary forms: auditorium, the entrance block, and a fly tower. With many completely customizable spaces and in-house catering, Toronto’s iconic Meridian Hall has also proven to be an ideal house for town halls, product launches, and holiday parties.
