Mizner Park is a center in downtown Boca Raton, Florida. The Mizner Park Amphitheater was officially inaugurated on November 21, 2002. Aside from the music, the venue is best known for including eateries like Racks Downtown Eatery + Tavern, Max's Grille, Yard House, and Villagio's. Robert G. Currie Partnership does the architecture of the site. The total construction cost of the amphitheater was $6.2 million. The venue is under the ownership of the City of Boca Raton, and it is exactly situated in the northeast corner of Mizner Park. It is an outdoor shopping center named Pearl City.
From 1992 to 2002, Mizner Park was home to the National Cartoon Museum. The Mizner Park Amphitheater has a seating capacity of 3,520. The venue consists of a stage surrounded by a colonnade, a fountain at the entrance, and a statue. The seating capacity of the amphitheater can be expanded to 4,200 for general admission events.
The Mizner Park Amphitheater opened with an inauguration ceremony by Henrietta Rach de Hoernle. It was followed by a memorable concert performed by the Florida Symphony Orchestra. The city took ownership of the amphitheater in 2010, which changed its name as well. The venue serves as the summer home to the Boca Raton Symphonia. Some notable performers who rocked the amphitheater are Phish, Boston, Meat Loaf, John Legend, and Neon Trees.
