The La Crosse Center is a type of multi-purpose arena which is located at 300 Harborview Plaza, La Crosse, Wisconsin. It was opened to the general public in 1980 with a seating capacity of 5,000 to 7,500 (depending upon the event type). The owner of this venue is the City of La Crosse.
The arena also serves as a convention center. The site includes three dressing rooms, two locker rooms, a ballroom, and exhibit space along with a South Exhibit Hall and North hall. It also includes five meeting rooms (divisible into 9 meeting rooms), full-size wrestling mats and up to 55 wrestling squads. The multi-purpose arena underwent a $14 million expansion.
The La Crosse Center and both of the exhibit halls are used for conventions, trade shows, meetings, banquets, etc. The arena itself is used for concerts, circuses, ice shows, sports, and much more. The venue serves home to various exhibits and shows. A notable event hosted by the arena is the annual Bi-State Classic high school wrestling tournament. The center was a former home to three football teams including the La Crosse Spartans and the La Crosse Night Train along with the La Crosse River Rats. Also, it was a previous home to two Continental Basketball Association (CBA) teams that are the La Crosse Catbirds and the La Crosse Bobcats.
