The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in San Antonio's famous theater which is located at 115 Auditorium Circle, next to the San Antonio Riverwalk, San Antonio. It opened in the year 1926 and formerly called San Antonio Municipal Auditorium but later named to Tobin Center in the name of Robert L. B. Tobin (one of the city's most prominent residents). It was renovated and expanded by the Seattle-based LMN Architects and the local firm Marmon MokArchitecture. It is a multi-purpose site with 1,746 seats at Performance Hall, 232 seats in Studio Theater, and an outdoor performance plaza.
The performing arts center hosts concerts, live performances, opera, ballet, theatre, family shows, comedy shows, symphony, fitness shows, dance, awards, TV shows, live magic shows and much more. The events held at this venue include the Lightning Thief, the Menopause, Missnelson has a field, Once, Finding Neverland, Science Friday live, Bobby bone, the Racing idiots, the Blues Beatles, etc. It also served host to Celeste Barber is back, Jen kirkman, An evening with Kristina Kuzmic, Spiderman into the spider-verse, San Antonio film festival, Free annual open house and much more.
