The Keswick Theatre is located at 291 Keswick Avenue, Glenside, Pennsylvania, United States. This theatre is a privately owned and built in the Keswick Village section. The venue is a musical and concert site with a seating capacity of 1300. It was opened to the public on December 24, 1928, (on Christmas night) as a vaudeville/movie house but after the renovation held in 1955, it was converted to a cinemascope film house.

The theatre is under the ownership of AEG Live while its architecture is designed by Horace Trumbauer. The selected architectural design of the venue is a Tudor Revival one. The theater closed in the year 1985 but was reopened after 3 years in March 1988. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 during the closure period.

The theatre hosted many bands, popular acts, community events, and much more. Some legends hosted by the theatre are Paul Robeson, Ina Ray Hutton (Betty’s sister), Stepin’ Fetchit, Roberta Peters, Carlos Montoya, Theodore Bikel, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Buddy Rich, Lionel Hampton, and many others. The first reopening ceremony of the theatre in 1981 was accompanied by the concert by Fred Waring and the Young Pennsylvanians. The venue is the most loved one for its state-of-the-art sound and light equipment along with a computerized ticketing system. It was awarded by My Fox Philly’s Hot List for Best Live Venue (2009, 2010, 2011).
