The Bayou Music Center is an indoor theater, primarily used for the most intimate concerts in the Houston, metro area. It is located at 520 Texas Ave, Houston, Texas, United States. The venue has a seating capacity of 2,815 for general admission and 2,400 for Theater. The center was opened to the general public on November 14, 1997. It is under the ownership of Live Nation Entertainment and was renamed to its current name on August 11, 2015.
The naming history of the venue is quite long. From November 14, 1997, to February 2, 2002, it was known as the Aerial Theater. From February 3, 2002, to March 13, 2012, the venue was named as Verizon Wireless Theater, from March 14, 2012, to August 11, 2015, it was known as Bayou Music Center, and finally the Revention Music Center from August 12, 2015, to the 2020 and then back to the Bayou Music Center.
The venue has been hosted many events over the years including Twenty One Pilots, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and Dave Chappelle, Coldplay, and hundreds more. It is well-known for its outclass sound system and sightlines. It can also be rented for private events, concerts, recitals, etc.
