The West Herr Auditorium Theatre, also known as the Auditorium Theatre, is located at 885 E Main St, Rochester, NY, USA. The venue has a seating capacity of 3,000 people. It is under the ownership of the Rochester Broadway Theatre League (RBTL) and operated by the same. The inauguration of this theater took place in 1928. It is home to large-scale Broadway musicals that includes The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Wicked, and Disney’s The Lion King. The theatre has hosted various classical, rock, dance, children’s shows, R&B, etc. Initially, it was the site for many touring productions. The musicals and comedy show joint the venue later.
The venue has many formal meeting rooms, banquet halls, and offices along with the large auditorium. It bears a large Wurlitzer 4/23 (opus 1951) theatre organ. The place underwent significant renovations in 2003.
